Cannabinoid FAQ’s

What is Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is acannabinoid derived from the hemp plant. Delta 8 THC is one of over 100 cannabinoids produced naturally by the cannabis plant and is known to produce mild euphoria and relaxation. Many also report an overall sense of well-being because the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors involved are associated with homeostasis (the body’s natural resting state).

Yes. Delta 8 THC was made legal in most states under the 2018 Farm Bill.

What is Delta 9 THC?

Delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is a cannabinoid derived from the hemp plant. Like many other cannabinoids, Delta 9 THC interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, producing a euphoric sensation often referred to as a “high.” This sensation is cherished by many cannabis users for its potential ability to induce certain therapeutic qualities.

Under the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp-derived products containing less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC are legal at the federal level in the United States.

What is HHC?

HHC stands for Hexahydrocannabinol and is one of over 100 cannabinoids produced naturally in the hemp plant. Like other cannabinoids, it interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system to produce a psychotropic effect. Because HHS is the hydrogenation of Delta 8 THC it is reported to have anti-anxiety, pain relieving, anti-nausea, appetite stimulant, and neuroprotective properties.

What is THCA?

THCA is short for tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, and is one of the major cannabinoids derived from the hemp plant. What separates THCA from other cannabinoids is that it only produces a psychotropic effect when heated through a process called decarboxylation or “decarbing” for short. “Decarbing” converts some of the available THCA to Delta 9 THC ultimately producing the traditional “high” associated with using marijuana.

THCA’s popularity is continuously growing as it offers a unique alternative for exploring the full spectrum of cannabinoids and their effects. While in its raw form, THCA does not elicit any psychotropic or euphoric effects, when it is heated it undergoes a process called decarboxylation. converts some of the available THCA to Delta 9 THC ultimately producing the traditional “high” associated with using marijuana. This is why THCA is increasingly popular in states where traditional Delta 9 THC is not legal.

What is THCP?

THCP is short for tetrahydrocannabiphorol and is a cannabinoid found in the hemp plant. THCP is a relatively new and rare cannabinoid with a multitude of potential therapeutic benefits and enhanced potency compared to other cannabinoids

What is HHCP?

HHCP is short for Hydrogenated Hexahydrocannabinol and is a cannabinoid with effects similar to THC. However, unlike THC which is extracted from the hemp plant, HHCP is synthetic and is made by hydrogenating THCP.

What is THCV?

THCV is short for tetrahydrocannabivarin and is a cannabis-derived compound with unique properties setting it apart from most cannabinoids. THCV is similar to THC in molecular structure and psychoactive properties, but it provides a variety of different effects.

What is Live Resin?

Essentially, live resin is a cannabis concentrate extracted from freshly harvested marijuana plant material that’s been flash-frozen at sublevel temperatures, blasted with solvents, and pressed. This unique extraction technique is exactly what makes this concentrate so valued as it allows the terpene profile to stay as close to the natural fresh plant as possible, typically making it richer in aroma and flavor.
